Global Appliances, LLC was established in
January of 2001. Its primary mission was to provide development
services for businesses looking for integrated computer hardware
and software solutions. These solutions ranged from developing
integrated hardware and software solutions for the pharmaceutical
industry as well as consulting on computer vision systems.
In February of 2002, Global Appliances began working with
local hotels and internet café’s to begin development
on the product that has become SurferQuest. SurferQuest
provides a built-in rental management system controlling
access to the systems with either prepaid cards or credit
cards. Once on the system, the user has full access to the
computer with all of its functionality. Something that is
very unique in the industry. When the user is done, they
simply click “End Session” and everything the
user worked on and did during their session is cleaned automatically
by SurferQuest. There is no longer any need for human intervention
to be sure no objectionable or proprietary information has
been left on the computer after each and every use.
In November of 2002, Global Appliances introduced its SurferQuest
product at the IHMRS at the Javits Center in New York with
rave reviews. From that show, it was very clear that SurferQuest
was providing a solution for a major headache not only in
the hospitality industry, but also within the military and
Fortune 500 as well.
Throughout 2004, SurferQuest continued to add many recognizable
names to their list of clientele along with forming major
strategic alliances with industry leaders.
